All the most popular children's programming now has its own dedicated hub
If you have?children in your household,?Netflix just introduced a special feature that could give you some much needed downtime. It's called the Just For Kids section, and it promises to keep your cartoon-loving kids busy for a mighty long time. With queues titled "Talking Animals," "Sing-Alongs," and "Girl Power," coughing up the?extra $8 a month for the instant streaming service might just be the biggest child entertainment bargain ever.
Heading over to the Netflix?Just For Kids page will present you with a plethora of options to satisfy children 12 and under, including?SpongeBob SquarePants and?Dora the Explorer. Older favorites such asRocko's Modern Life and?Hey Arnold are also well-represented, as are classic animated films like?The Land Before Time and?The Secret of Nimh.
Netflix has always had a healthy amount of programming for youngsters, and the new section acts as a hub for all of it. The design is decidedly kid-friendly, and clicking on the large icons of various animated characters takes you to their dedicated pages. Each individual episode has its own thumbnail ? something the rest of the site lacks ? which makes browsing easy for both parents and kids. The Just For Kids section is available right now on the desktop streaming version of Netflix, and will soon be headed to the?Wii,?iPad, and other Netflix-supported devices.
