WELLAND ? Three people have been charged following a drug raid at a Welland apartment, Thursday.
Niagara Regional Police executed the search warrant at the undisclosed East Main Street address based on information obtained during an investigation that began in early January.
Inside the apartment, police allegedly discovered more than $1,200 worth of cocaine and prescription pills and about $2,600 cash.
Charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime is Frank Rakonczai, 49, of Welland
Also facing charges of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime is Jennifer Schieve, 19, of Welland, and Metin Ahmed Kadir, 27, of St. Catharines.
All three were held in custody pending a bail hearing Friday.
