Parties May Pick Candidates for Vacant Nevada Seat (Taegan Goddard's Political Wire)

A judge in Nevada has ruled that the state parties will decide the candidates
for the special election to fill Sen. Dean Heller's (R-NV) vacant House seat,
the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

The ruling favors Republicans, who wished to "avoid a free-for-all election
that would have decreased the GOP's chances of holding on to the 2nd
Congressional District seat."

Barring a successful appeal, this probably means the end for Sharron Angle's
(R) House bid.
