Conquer Painful Emotional Triggers With BAUD - Easy Health Options
We all have our emotional triggers: those things that just flip some internal switch and make us feel angry, sad, anxious or even happy. It can be a smell, a sound, the tone of someone?s voice or the way someone is relating to you that immediately, yet unconsciously, triggers something from the past, affecting your emotional state in the present. If it is a negatively charged event, your mood changes and your decision-making process and actions can become unintentionally skewed in a negative direction.

Its technology is based on the latest discoveries of neuroscience and works through neuroacoustic stimulation. Simple And Effective
The BAUD device is simple and effectively treats three main categories of problems: emotional issues, urges or impulses, and physical symptoms like pain. Here?s how it works:
- You activate your target issue (emotional trigger) by focusing your attention on it. Try to identify the location or area in your body where you actually feel your problem and allow yourself to fully experience it.
- Switch the BAUD on and balance the sound in your earphones by turning the right and left volume-control knobs until the sound you hear is moderately loud and perfectly equal in both ears and seems centered in your head.
- Slowly tune the pitch or arousal frequency until you feel the sound connect to either the body location of your problem ? or, more importantly, with your feelings themselves.
- Continue focusing on your problem feelings as you slowly turn the disruptor knob until you reach a place where the sound seems to neutralize or reduce the problem feeling (e.g., anxiety) you are focusing on. This indicates you are affecting the targeted neural areas of the brain.
- Continue to try to keep the target problem active by continually bringing it to mind and, therefore, keeping the neural activity going in the targeted brain areas. Try to do this for anywhere from five to 20 minutes after you have found the disruptor frequency that reduces the targeted feeling before turning off the BAUD and ending the session.

SAfrica president cancels trip amid Mandela worry
JOHANNESBURG (AP) ? The office of the South African president says he has visited a gravely ill Nelson Mandela in a hospital, and has decided to cancel a visit Thursday to Mozambique.
A statement from President Jacob Zuma's office said Zuma went to see the 94-year-old anti-apartheid leader on Wednesday evening and found him to still be in a critical condition.
The statement says Zuma was briefed by the doctors who are treating the former leader, who was taken to a Pretoria hospital on June 8 to be treated for what the government said was a recurring lung infection.
It says Zuma decided to call off a one-day trip to Mozambique for a meeting on regional investment.

Lawmakers to weigh rights of IRS official in Tea Party fracas
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House of Representative's investigatory committee will vote on Friday on the legal future of an embattled tax agency official at the center of the Tea Party targeting scandal, who invoked her constitutional right not to testify last month.
At a May 22 House Oversight and Government Reform hearing, Lois Lerner, the former head of the Internal Revenue Service's tax-exempt division, invoked her constitutional right not to answer lawmakers' questions.
But by reading a statement before refusing to testify, some Republicans said Lerner waived her rights.
Committee Chairman Republican Darrell Issa dismissed Lerner from the hearing with a warning that she could be called back for another appearance.
If committee members vote on Friday that Lerner waived her rights, she could be brought back before the panel to answer questions, the committee said in a statement on Tuesday.
A lawyer for Lerner, who was director of the IRS tax-exempt unit during the time period when an inspector general found inappropriate scrutiny of Tea Party and other conservatives groups, defended her actions. "Protesting your innocence and invoking right not to answer questions, which is what she did, is not a waiver" of constitutional rights, said Lerner's lawyer, William Taylor, in a statement to Reuters.

SK Telecom launches the world's first LTE-Advanced network, and the Galaxy S4 LTE-A
Just days after an LTE-Advanced variant of Samsung's Galaxy S 4 leaked, Korean carrier SK Telecom has officially announced it's launching the world's first publicly available LTE-Advanced wireless network. The Galaxy S4 LTE-A is also official (in red or blue) as the first device able to take advantage of the new technology for even faster data transmission speeds. According to the press release, SK Telecom plans to have as many as seven LTE-A devices available by the end of the year, all capable of up to 150Mbps. While SK Telecom is using Carrier Aggregation and Coordinated Multi Point technology to improve speeds right now, it will add Enhanced Inter-Cell Interference Coordination in 2014 to go even faster. After that, it suggest carrier aggregation will improve to support higher speeds and faster uploads in subsequent years.
To take advantage of the higher speeds, SK Telecom's Btv IPTV service will begin offering 1080p video streaming in early July. That will be accompanied by enhanced multiview baseball broadcasts, more free videos, an HD video shopping service with six channels on one screen in August and the addition of FLAC audio files via its music package. Right now, the company has Seoul covered in LTE-A, and plans to eventually offer it in 84 cities, all at the same price as existing LTE service. Update: We've just come across another juicy tidbit that makes the Galaxy S4 LTE-A all the more worthwhile... it'll ship with a Snapdragon 800 SoC that contains a 2.3GHz quad-core CPU. It goes without saying that this phone will be speedy on all angles.

AMHERST, Mass. Leading Bluefin tuna researchers at the universities of Massachusetts and Maine issued a rebuttal to a "factsheet" they say is an "irresponsible distortion of the information available" issued by the Pew Charitable Trusts this week, as the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tuna's (ICCAT) expert working groups meet in Montral beginning today to discuss tuna stocks.
As ICCAT prepares to revise its Atlantic Bluefin tuna stock assessment in 2015, experts are fighting over whose methods and evaluations of tuna populations provide the most accurate and valid basis for fishing regulations.
Molly Lutcavage, fish ecologist and research professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and director of the Large Pelagics Research Center (LPRC) in Gloucester, with Walt Golet at Maine, Ben Galuardi at LPRC and Steve Cadrin of the UMass Dartmouth School for Marine Science and Technology, say the Pew statement "lacks scientific credibility." Lutcavage has directed a program since 1993 to study Atlantic Bluefin tuna migration routes, reproduction and spawning areas by tracking them for a year from summer feeding grounds in New England and Canada.
Pew this week sent ICCAT a "factsheet" calling positions they support "the best available science" and dismissing as "unsupported" several theories that ICCAT considers valid but that remain the subject of continuing scientific debate.
Lutcavage and colleagues note that scientific understanding of Bluefin tuna remains "highly uncertain," that "many aspects of Atlantic Bluefin tuna biology are not known definitively, and that alternative hypotheses should be considered by scientists and fisheries managers."
She and co-authors explain that the difference in outlook for Bluefin tuna in western Atlantic waters, which includes New England, is rooted in two competing population models: A "high recruitment" and "low recruitment" scenario. The high model predicts that the Bluefin population should be much larger than it currently is, suggesting that severe catch reductions are in order. The low model estimates the natural population at levels close to those currently seen, suggesting that the current catch levels can be maintained or increased.
Lutcavage, Golet and colleagues say, "The Pew factsheet is a subjective selection of information, lacks scientific credibility and appears to be agenda-driven. Fishery managers should be aware of the uncertainties involved in Atlantic Bluefin tuna biology and stock assessment and should consider the alternative hypotheses identified by the [ICCAT's] Standing Committee on Research and Statistics process, the 2012 Bluefin tuna stock assessment session and the 2013 Bluefin Meeting on Biological Parameters Review."
American fishermen have felt betrayed by United States negotiators in the past, observers state. Ernie Panacek, president of the Blue Water Fishermen's Association, says, "Positions advanced by U.S. negotiators at ICCAT have ignored the interests of our American fishermen. As a result, valuable U.S. fisheries, including Bluefin tuna and swordfish, are being strangled by our own government."

Voting Rights Act ruling draws emotional response
WASHINGTON (AP) ? His voice steadily rising, Rep. John Lewis couldn't hide his distress with the Supreme Court's decision to strip a key tenant of the Voting Rights Act.
"They're saying, in effect, that history cannot repeat itself," said the Georgia Democrat who as a freedom rider and civil rights leader in the 1960s was severely beaten while marching for voting rights. "But I say come and walk in my shoes," Lewis said, chopping the air with his finger while discussing the high court's ruling Tuesday.
In a 5-4 ruling, the high court on Tuesday effectively negated a key requirement in the 1965 law that all or parts of 15 states with a history of racial discrimination get Justice Department approval before changing election laws. The court majority said the government can't continue to rely on 40-year-old demographic data that don't reflect changes in racial progress and society over the decades in deciding which states and local jurisdictions have to first get clearance from Washington.
"It's a bad day, a sad day for the Democratic process," said Rep. Pete Gallego, D-Texas, whose state had been covered by the act.
"One of the worst days ... in the history of this country," echoed Rep. Marcia Fudge, D-Ohio, who chairs the 42-member Congressional Black Caucus.
Michigan Rep. John Conyers, who with 49 years in the House is the longest-serving black member of Congress, recalled arriving in Washington in January 1965 and begging House Speaker John McCormack to put him on the Judiciary Committee so he could help ensure the voting rights law's passage. As a former chairman and now senior Democrat on the panel, he was resigned to having to do it again.
"We can rise to this challenge," Conyers said, shaking his head. "We don't have an alternative."
"We don't want to go back," said Lewis, making reference to his own experience. "We want to go forward."
